Members

The Data Controller acknowledges the sovereignty and ownership of Indigenous communities over their personal information and cultural heritage.
The Data Controller commits to involving Indigenous communities in the decision-making process regarding the collection, storage, and processing of personal information.
The Data Controller will ensure that all data is collected, stored, and processed in accordance with the OCAP® principles.
By sharing content on ICEDAR, Members agree to the Participation Protocol and take full responsibility for the content they post. The Data Controller and its funders do not assume any liability for any content posted by members.
Access
The Data Controller will only collect, store, and process personal information that is necessary for the proper functioning of the website.
Access to personal information will be restricted to authorized individuals who have a legitimate reason to access the information.
Members will have the right to access, manipulate, and remove their own personal information, subject to appropriate controls and procedures.
Possession
The Data Controller will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the security and confidentiality of personal information.
The Data Controller will ensure that personal information is stored in a secure manner, with appropriate protections against unauthorized access or disclosure.
The Data Controller will establish procedures for the deletion or destruction of personal information when it is no longer necessary or required by law.

The Data Controller will only collect personal information with the consent of the Data Subject, or as required by law.

Members’ Rights

Data Transfers
The Data Controller will not transfer personal information to any third party without the consent of the Data Subject, or as required by law.
The Data Controller will ensure that any third party receiving personal information is bound by appropriate cultural protocols, as well as confidentiality, and security obligations, where applicable.
Amendments
This privacy policy may be amended from time to time to reflect changes in the Data Controller’s practices or changes in applicable laws or regulations.
Any changes to this privacy policy will be communicated to Members in a manner that is appropriate and reasonable under the circumstances.
