Stabilizing Indigenous Languages Symposium 2024

It is with excitement that the NEȾOLṈEW̱ Research Partnership shares they were successful in their bid to host the Stabilizing Indigenous Languages Symposium (SILS) 2024 at the University of Victoria! The symposium will bring together language scholars, activists, educators, and community members to explore innovative strategies and best practices for language revitalization. Highlights include inspiring keynote speeches, engaging panel discussions, interactive workshops, and informative presentations on successful language revitalization projects. SILS 2024: Call for Proposals
As we prepare for the 30th anniversary of the Stabilizing Indigenous Languages Symposium, we are pleased to announce the Call for Proposals. This is your opportunity to contribute to the symposium’s vibrant tapestry by sharing your experiences, insights, and successes in Indigenous language revitalization.
