The National Centre for Collaboration Indigenous Education

The National Centre for Collaboration in Indigenous Education (NCCIE) is hosted by First Nations University of Canada, which has a 40-year history of being Indigenous-owned, operated, and controlled. The Centre is grounded in principles of respect, reciprocity, and relationship, which are understood in Indigenous ways and honoured according to Indigenous protocols and customs.

NCCIE facilitates collaborative networking among communities, leaders, parents, educators, Elders, Knowledge holders, practitioners, policy makers and researchers to advance the success of Indigenous education across Canada and to support efforts in reconciliation for all Canadians.

This is a fantastic resource containing different Stories from all across what is now known as Canada. The stories can be search by Story, Interactive Map and Indigenous Languages. The stories are personal, familiar, community or working experiences and collaboration stories. The stories are told with an Indigenous lens, really indigenizing land and work. They can be used for inspiration, to find collaborators, or for teaching. The website also contains a Teaching Resource Centre by teaching subjects and provides lessons plans. There is a knowledge page with different knowledge areas such as: Sharing Knowledge, Land, Language & Culture, Listen to the Knowledge of the Elders, Indigenous Governance, and also Starting your Journey. It also offers a resource Library, National Gatherings, Reconciliation and Reports.
